Summer Camps
 F.I.R.S.T. Summer Camps for children and youth with disabilities are only possible with support of volunteers, local churches and the community. In 2008, over 2500 volunteer hours helped the overnight camps happen. FirstShine held for the younger campers and Horizons for the older campers. In 2009, F.I.R.S.T. was able to add more summer camps options for children and youth with disabilities. A Teen Enrichment Day Camp in partnership with Asheville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts, Therapeutic Recreation Program was offered for four weeks. A Theatre Camp with Debbie Lombard of ETC of Florida, Inc www.etcsfl.org gave our children and youth a chance to ACT OUT and all took part in the performance “King of Pride Rock”.
